Eight doctoral students received a scholarship for their research thanks to an award in the Brno PhD. Talent. Due to the pandemic, the winners were able to receive congratulations and also checks from city officials just now, the ceremony is held regularly at the turn of the year. Eight talents from BUT attracted the jury among 130 applicants and reached the final twenty-five applicants with their projects.
“The awarded students will join a group of excellent researchers, whose discoveries contribute to the business card of Brno as a city of science, research and innovation. Scholars from previous years show that they really deserved the award and are working hard on significant discoveries," the mayor of Brno, Markéta Vaňková, said.
For the next three years, the selected students will receive financial support in the total amount of CZK 300,000. The allowance should allow students to focus more on research without worrying about funding for everyday matters.
