Jan Hajný presents at the Post-Quantum Transition Workshop
In early December, Brno University of Technology together with the National Office for Cyber and Information Security organized an international workshop called Post-Quantum Transition Workshop (PQT), which focused on the transition to quantum-safe technologies and post-quantum cryptography (PQC). The aim of the event was to bring together the academic, government and commercial sectors to discuss the challenges associated with the migration to quantum-safe technologies, with an emphasis on e-government and critical infrastructure within the Czech Republic and the EU. The programme included contributions from renowned experts including international guests from Estonia, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. BUT was represented by Jan Hajný and Lukáš Malina as speakers.
In addition to scientific and research activities in the field of cyber security, FEKT BUT also teaches cyber security specialists in study programmes (B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D.) called Information Security. In addition to the classical study programmes, it now offers a professional education programme Master of Science in Cybersecurity (proCyber) designed especially for candidates from practice with the need to obtain professional qualifications in the field of cybersecurity. As part of its teaching, it uses, among other things, BUTCA - Brno University of Technology Cyber Arena.
More innformation about the workshop can be found here. The event was financially supported by the project "National Coordination Centre in the Czech Republic", project number 101127941.
