On February 5, 2025, Department of Telecommunications together with PROFIber Networking and the AKADEMIE VLÁKNOVÉ OPTIKY A OPTICKÝCH KOMUNIKACÍ ® organized a course on network dimensioning and quality of service measurement according to CTU.

The course "Network dimensioning and quality of service measurement according to ČTÚ" helps to understand and guarantee the quality of high-speed networks and the Internet.
In the past months, Department of Telecommunications together with industrial partners PROFiber Networking CZ s.r.o. and PROFIcomms s.r.o. have built a technological polygon of access networks in the premises of FEEC BUT, which has been equipped with measuring and diagnostic equipment including XGS-PON technology, which enables connection of individual clients to the Internet at speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s over optical fiber.
