What is the competition all about?
Participants are tasked with designing and constructing a working device containing a microcontroller. Contestants will have approximately three months to complete their project, during which time they can use the BUT's equipped laboratory by arrangement with the organisers.
The competition will culminate on 22 May 2025, when the teams will present their projects to a panel of industry experts. They will be judged on technical design, innovation, software sophistication, functionality and also the quality of presentation.
Who is the competition for?
The competition is open to all high school, grammar school and university students from all over the Czech Republic. Both individuals and teams of up to 5 members can participate.
Interesting prizes and benefits
Each participant of the final day will take home a prize, but for the best there are really interesting prizes. Projects placed in third place will receive a waiver of the BUT entrance exam based on the diploma they have received.

FEEC BUT is once again opening its doors to young talents in the field of microcontrollers and embedded systems. Competition rules
- Maximum number of team members is 5
- All members must be students
- The device must not be purchased as a finished product
- An electrical engineering kit may be used, but the highest score will be for self-made and programmed devices
- The constructed device must not be older than two years
- Devices presented in previous years will not be accepted again (exception is re-design with new features)
- Each team can only enter one project
- A maximum of 5 projects can be entered from one school
