Štumpf Receives the 2024 Czech Science Foundation Chairman’s Honorary Recognition
Assoc. Prof. Martin Štumpf has been actively engaged in research on the propagation of electromagnetic waves at our faculty, collaborating with international institutions. He has made significant contributions to this field through his leadership of the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR)-funded project Pulsed EM Field Interaction With Thin-Film Structures (Reg. No. GA20-01090S), conducted between 2020 and 2022. During this project, he authored 22 papers published in highly respected journals such as Engineering Analysis with Boundary Elements and IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation.
In recognition of his outstanding research achievements, the Discipline Committee 1 (Technical Sciences) of GAČR nominated him for the Czech Science Foundation President’s Award, and he was granted the Czech Science Foundation President’s Honorary Recognition 2024.
The Czech Science Foundation (GAČR) is the only institution in the country that provides targeted public funding for basic research projects. Through its announced programs, GAČR finances scientific projects for both established researchers and teams, as well as for young and early-career scientists.
