DepartmentofPowerElectricalandElectronicEngineering
Activity
The department’s teams follow the synergy principle, performing multifaceted research into weak-current circuit engineering, cybernetics, electromagnetism, and heavy current systems and devices. In the wider domain of electrical drives, we have recently focused on electromobility. Our further efforts lie within the physics of the electric arc and the development of switching and protective devices, such as circuit breakers; we also perform relevant testing. The department is a participating unit of the CVVOZE (Center for Research and Utilization of Renewable Sources of Energy) and NETME (New Technologies for Mechanical Engineering) science hubs.
