The Dean's roles and responsibilities:

• acting on behalf of and representing the Faculty to external entities, in particular to the University authorities, the academic senate and ministries of the Czech Republic,
• managing the preparation of documentation for the implementation of the strategic plans, their control and updating,
• organisation and management of the Scientific Board sessions and the Dean's Board meetings,
• managing the negotiations on the Faculty budget rules,
• supervision of the Faculty staff employment legal matters,
• submitting documents prepared by other members of the Faculty management for discussion in the academic senate, the Scientific Board and the University management,
• cooperation at the University level, in particular with the Rector, Vice-Rectors, the bursar and heads of the Rector's office units.
