The Vice-Dean for Creative Activity is the authorized deputy of the Dean, and his responsibility is mainly in the following areas:

• fulfilling the implementation of the Faculty's strategic plan and the internal Faculty regulations and standards related to the creative activity and the doctoral studies,
• study and scientific education in the doctoral programmes,
• methodology of the admission to the doctoral study programmes,
• coordination of the state doctoral examinations and dissertation defences,
• supervision of scholarships for doctoral students,
• managing accreditation of the doctoral study programmes,
• methodological support, control of the use and cooperation in the administration of the BUT information system in the part related to creative activities and doctoral studies, ensuring the registration of doctoral students in the BUT information system,
• drafting and updating internal Faculty regulations and standards relating to creative activities, habilitation procedures, procedures for the appointment of professors and doctoral studies,
• in cooperation with the Dean, organizing activities related to the habilitation procedures and the procedures for the appointment of professors,
• preparation of the Faculty Scientific Board sessions,
• methodology and coordination of the periodic evaluation of the academic staff,
• registration, methodological support and control of domestic and foreign research and development projects,
• coordination and support in the field of knowledge and technology transfer, including support for industrial protection,
• organisation of the internal grant agency of the BUT at the Faculty level,
• coordination of Open Science policy at the Faculty level,
• coordination and support of the EEICT student competition conference,
• cooperation at the University level, especially with the Vice-Rector for Research, and Development and Creative Activities.
